Jowy walked into Rakian Forest, with his brother Flame by his side. Flame wasn't Jowy's blood brother of course, because Flame is a Growlithe. Flame is the offspring of the Growlithe Jowy's parents owned and grew up protecting Jowy. Jowy looked down at Flame and pet his head while asking:
"So Flame, what kind of pokemon do you think we will find here? We are going to need a great team if we are going to become pokemon masters. So how bout we find some pokemon to battle, eh?"
Flame looked at Jowy, a smirk on his face, and replied: "Growl-ithe." <'Right. Let's go!'>
Jowy and Flame ran deeper into the Forest, not knowing what the will find; but ready to take it on no matter what it was. Bugs, fine. Ghosts, bring it on. Anything, and Jowy and Flame are ready to take it on.

There was a caw, and a bird seemed to be circling over head. It came down, landing on a low branch nearby. "Taiii, tailow. Low, tailow." It squawked, cleaning its feathers.
Attempt a capture, attempt to befriend, or keep moving?

The Taillow took off back into the skies and flew off.
A pair of poke'mon were seen fighting ahead. One was another flying type, the other was a fire type. A bird and a fox. They were battling it out rather fiercely.

Seeing the two pokemon fighting, Jowy thought to himself: Hmm, Flame is a fire type, so I don't need another fire type pokemon. But Swablu on the other hand evolves into Altaria, a Dragon/Flying type. So I think we are going to help out the Vulpix, so I can capture the Altaria.
"Flame, go jump in the air and use Bite against that Swablu, we are going to help the Vulpix beat the Swablu and then we will capture the Swablu. You ready? Go Flame!"
J0wy pointed out towards the two pokemon fighting as Flame dashed off, running towards the Swablu and jumped towards the Swablu, his jaws open ready to bite down on the Swablu if it connects.

The Swablu's left wing was hit by the bite. In an attempt to escape the double team, it took the air, but failed miserably as it fell to the ground. It turned around, running forward and using Fury attack-Two hits to Flame and two to the Vulpix. Vulpix took the first attack, then dodged to the side-being partially hurt already-and used a Tail whip to weaken the Swablu.

Flame took both Fury attacks, but shrugged it off. Jowy then shouted to Flame:
"Flame, run around it in circles! Try and make it dizzy! Then dash at it, jump over and Bite from a different direction!"
Flame nodded and ran around in circles around the Swablu, trying to disorient it while the Vulpix used Tail Whip to weaken it's defenses. After four or five laps around the Swablu, Flame dashed in towards the Swablu again, but jumped clear over it and then dashed back at it from another direction with another Bite attack.

The Swablu fainted on the spot as the bite hit Its other wing. However, with a last breath it used a sing attack. "Swaaa...bluuuuuuu." It said, while Vulpix actually jumped up and pressed the button of a poke'ball on Jowy's belt. Its reasoning for this was debatable; perhaps it wanted to join Jowy as well, or was trying to dodge the Sing.

Seeing the Vulpix jump into Jowy's pokeball, and seeing the Swablu use sing at the last moment, Jowy quickly returned Flame to his pokeball to keep it from getting put to sleep.
"Flame, let's dodge this sing attack, return!"
Jowy then pulled another empty pokeball from his belt and quickly threw it at the Swablu, before the sing attack could have any effect on Jowy. The pokeball hit the Swablu, and it was engulfed in a bright red light. The pokeball snapped shut and started to wobble....

"Alright Flame! Good job!" Jowy congratulated Flame and scratched behind his ears. He then looked down to the pokeball on his belt that Kilara, his new Vulpix, jumped into.
"Come on out Kilara, I'd like to welcome you to the team!"
A red beam of light then came from the pokeball as the small Vulpix was formed from the light.
"Vulpix, vulll, pix!" <'Hi, nice to meet you. Teehee'> Kilara said as she giggled and smiled at Flame.
"Welcome to the team, Kilara. We are going to make a great team, I just know it."
Jowy then returned Kilara to her pokeball on his belt. Jowy then walked over to the pokeball holding Drake, the Swablu that was attacking the Vulpix.
"You're going to be a handful, I can sense it. But oh well, you will come around too!" Jowy said as he attatched the pokeball next to Blaze and Rhades'.
Jowy then looked back at Flame and said to him: "Okay, Flame, lets go. Gotta keep pushing through this forest and train."
Flame nodded in agreement and took Jowy's side as the two walked deeper into the forest.

A purple shape walked calmly though the forest. It wasn't bothered by the dark at all; it's keen antennae and big eyes helped it along without the need of light.

Jowy faintly spotted the Venonat in the darkness of the forest. Jowy then looke down to Flame and spoke softly:
"Hey Flame, look, its a Venonat. Let's battle it! Dash at it and use Bite."
Flame nodded, and confirmed the location of the Venonat with it's keen eyesight and then dashed at the bug pokemon and attempted to clamp down on it with its fangs.
