Stray walked along the path with collected interest. Three balls were visible in his belt. He tapped each one lightly. Maiya, his Growlithe. Damascus, his Absol. Athena, his Houndour. Each needed major training. He hoped to train each one here, where their strengths would be tested. He stopped beside one of the springs, and grabbed all three balls. He threw them into the air, and out came the three Pokemon.

It was quiet at first, then it grew louder; so loud that it seemed to fill the entire world, and only when it was so loud the ground might have exploded did the source become apparent. The pounding of hooves was like thunder in the air as the herd of rapidash and ponyta raced past.

Stray turned, and widened his eyes. Damascus, Maiya, and Athena leapt out of the way, while Stray merely stood, his blue eyes driving towards the eyes of the Rapidash in the lead. With a flick of his eyes, Maiya leapt at the oncoming Pokemon with a Bite, Absol with a Feint Attack, and Athena with a Feint Attack. He normally would have a three on one, but the Rapidash would be much stronger than his Pokemon.

The lead rapidash met the eyes of the trainer. It gracefully dodged the bite, but faint attack was an unavoidable attack, and so he was hit. However, it barely did any damage at all, for the rapidash was at a much higher level than either of the pokemon.
The entire herd halted, turning threateningly toward the three pokemon. But the lead rapidash raised his head and neighed; reluctantly, the herd moved on without their lead stallion.
He stood, facing the trio with blazing eyes, daring them to attack him again.

Stray blinked, dipping his head. The Pokemon rushed around him, and finally all quieted down when they moved away. Stray pointed again towards the Rapidash, and they all leapt into action. Maiya used Growl, then went to jump on the Pokemon's back, using Bite. Damascus used Mean Look, then used another Feint Attack. Athena used Bite, then made to use a Faint attack towards the stallion.

Rapidash was bit in the neck by the growlithe. At the same time, he found himself glaring at Damascus, trapped in battle and stinging from the faint attack. He managed to leap clear of of the houndour's snapping jaws, but was stricken by her next attack. The rapidash reared to throw off Maiya, flames billowing from it's mouth in a flame wheel attack aimed at Damascus.

Damascus nimbly dodged out of the way of the brunt Flame Wheel, but was hit by one of the embers. He growled, before leaping with a Scratch towards the legs and a Faint Attack. Maiya, on the other had, was thrown off, and rolled. She growled and stood up, leaping up to Bite at the Rapidash's legs. She knew that if they could fell the Pokemon, the battle would be won. Athena, catching on started to try and Bite at her legs, using Faint Attack to move invisibly through the stallion's legs.
